ABOUT ME

Hi!  I'm Lisa Thompson, and I started Just Wear The Dress in Dec. 2017 shortly after receiving my first order from a clothing line sold by independent reps and falling in love with the clothing.  I was so excited to find flattering, quality, stylish clothing in plus sizes that I immediately starting wondering if I should become a rep myself!

I had run other small businesses in the past, but at that time my life revolved around my family, homeschooling my two boys, and working on the home we had recently moved into.  I was missing having something to be passionate about that was just "for me" as well as connections with other women.

I quickly decided that signing on with this company was the right decision, and over the next year and a half I greatly enjoyed my time with the company; running my small business and creating connections and friendships with the women who joined my shopping group.

In April of 2019, I started thinking about becomig an independent boutique; which would allow me to sell a variety of brands and offer my ladies a larger selection of great clothing, accessories, and more! Shortly thereafter I made the leap and went INDEPENDENT!

I LOVE being a small part in making other women feel better about themselves when they look in the mirror!

We all have our insecurities, and I have spent way too much of my own life worrying about what other people think about how I look.  Now in my 40's (almost into my 50's!), I prefer to focus on enjoying life as much as I can each and every day, and wearing cute clothes helps me do that!

I hope to help you find the same confidence and enjoyment from your own wardrobe!

I had chemo in May 2021 as part of a stem cell transfer to try and halt my MS, and as a result lost all of my hair. This photo was taken at the end of 2021.

You'll see photos of me on this website with my hair pre-HSCT, during the grow back process, and with various wigs!

Shown in the first photo are my sons (Avery, 20, and Aidan, 17), myself, my husband, Tom, and one of our three dogs; Dexter.

Sherlock

This photo is proof of a bad haircut on our youngest dog, Sherlock. (Check out his ears!)

Castle

Our third dog is named Castle. Can you figure out what they are all named after??
